What Is Digital Mileage Adjustment and mileage correction  ?

Over the past few years manufacturers have replaced the old style mechanical dashboards with new digital ones. The main reasons for this are down to cost and reliability. These days it is cheaper to build an electronic dashboard than the old mechanical style dash boards. Unfortunately this new technology has it's own set of problems. Electrical pulses in the car's electrical system can cause the data in the dashboards onboard chip to become corrupt.

This could happen for example if:
•The vehicles battery has become discharged and the car had to be jump started.
•The dashboard may develop an electrical fault.
•The dashboard may have been damaged in an accident or through vandalism.
• You may be forced to replace your speedo with a new or second-hand unit due to failure.

This in turn causes the wrong mileage to be displayed on your odo  and will make selling your car very difficult. If the new mileage reading is low then the purchaser may think you have clocked the speedo. If the reading is high then the value will be lower. This is where we can help by re programming the onboard chip with the correct data. The new data overwrites the old data and the change becomes undetectable.

We offer a professional discreet service using the very latest German hand held equipment specifically designed for mileage correction. Some of our competitors use cheap PC based software which can wipe all the information off the memory chip on your dashboard including additional information, such as chassis number / VIN. number. Our equipment leaves all other information intact. Some vehicles are easily calibrated through the diagnostic port without the need to remove the clock cluster. Others will need the dashboard to be removed. Most modern vehicles now record the mileage in other units hidden in the vehicle. Our service makes sure all units are re-programmed including the ignition key.
